Siaka Soppo Traoré
Hail from Burkina-Faso, Siaka Soppo Traoré was born in Douala in 1986.
He grew up in Togo, where he developed his skills in graphics design, drawing and painting.
His studies took him to Senegal where he discovered and performed hip-hop dance and capoeira. These artistic disciplines refined his sense of observation.
In 2011, after graduating in civil engineering in Dakar, he fell in love with photography and was self taught.
Fascinated by dance, his photographic work naturally turns toward scene and body language, but his sphere of interest constantly widens towards new territories.
In 2015, he exhibited in « Musée du Quai Branly », for the renowned« Photoquai ».
Galerie MAM presented his work during London 1: 54, Dak’Art’s « OFF » and at AKAA 2016, where his piece « Dans Ce » won the Orange Price for digital photography
